About the Interns

James Wudel is a rising senior English major at Davidson College. He particularly enjoys the cooking side of this local food thing, as well as the usual "long walks on moonlit beaches" that you usually find in "About Me"s. Wait, this isn't that kind of "About Me"? Crap. Margie Gudaitis is a rising senior Psychology and French major at Davidson College. Having spent her elementary school years here in Davidson, she feels particularly connected to the town and is thrilled about having the opportunity to work closely with the community in all things related to local food this summer. Oh and she’s a Pisces, obsessed with cycling and pilates, and recently learned she makes a mean cherry pie! Kaitlin Roberts is a rising sophomore at Davidson College from Evanston, Illinois. This summer she is looking forward to learning more about farming, cooking and community activism. Some of Kaitlin’s favorite things include friends, food, traveling, and finishing off a bottle of Texas Pete! Morgan Tarrant is a rising sophmore at Davidson interested in environmental studies. She is from Richmond, VA but excited about spending the summer in the Davison community! She loves lacrosse, yoga, spending time with her sister, the beach, and local food. Emily Castle is a rising Senior at Davidson College. Her major is Anthropology with a concentration in Environmental Studies. After doing research on local agriculture in her classes over the past year, she is excited to have a chance to work with Know Your Farms. Her interests include swimming, gardening, and her four six-week-old chickens. Emily will be at home in Atlanta coaching her swim team for the beginning of the summer, but will be joining the KYF team in mid-July.
